Administrator Resources
With a number of concerns confronting today’s schools, school culture has become a primary issue to address. The Better Choices program presents a management structure with preventive and practical solutions to positively impact school culture.
A strong school culture is dependent on productive interactions between the administrator, teachers, staff, and students. The Better Choices program provides strategies to communicate principles of respect and responsibility into daily school life.
The administrator is key to setting expectations for teachers, staff, and students which align with the management framework presented in the Better Choices Teacher Training. The training includes models and interactive techniques to address student conduct without asking teachers to teach any extra material.
The administrative role is to actively promote the principles and ideas presented in the teacher training and utilize administrative handouts for office referrals regarding problem solving and conflict resolution.
With the understanding that a school culture that is civil and caring is more conducive to learning, implementing positive interventions and character building to improve school culture is a winning endeavor for all.
Thank you for participating in the Better Choices program!
